C/C++ Developer - Trading and Market Platforms - J12447

Our client is seeking a Systems Engineer (C/C++) to join their technology team in Hong Kong. This role focuses on building and supporting the platforms that underpin trading, market data, and surveillance across multiple asset classes. You’ll be involved in the full development lifecycle—from design and coding to testing, deployment, and ongoing support—ensuring our systems remain robust, scalable, and future-ready.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and enhance core trading and market data applications.

• Conduct system analysis and architecture design for high-performance platforms.

• Deliver project outputs including specifications, design documents, and test plans.

• Partner with business stakeholders to gather and translate requirements into technical solutions.

• Provide production support for live systems, including occasional night and weekend coverage.

• Identify and mitigate technology risks, ensuring operational stability.

• Collaborate with infrastructure, cybersecurity, and other IT teams to maintain seamless operations.

• Promote technical excellence by adopting industry best practices and standards.

• Ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory expectations.

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline.

• At least 3 years of experience in software engineering or production support for mission-critical financial systems.

• Strong programming skills in C/C++, Perl, Python, with experience in network programming (Unicast/Multicast).

• Hands-on expertise in Linux application development.

• Additional knowledge of Java, .NET, web technologies, and databases is a plus.

• Solid understanding of securities and derivatives markets.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across teams and manage stakeholders.
