Business Analyst VP -Middle Office (Top-tier Investment Bank) - J13047

Our client is a premier global investment bank renowned for its market-leading equities franchise and world-class financial technology infrastructure. We are seeking a highly capable Middle Office Business Analyst / Project Manager to lead critical process, system, and workflow enhancements across front-to-back equity trade lifecycles.

Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end delivery of Middle Office initiatives, collaborating closely with Front Office Trading, Middle Office Operations, Risk, Compliance, and Technology partners.

• Map out, analyze, and refine complex Cash Equities/Derivatives trade booking flows, allocation mechanics, and lifecycle management.

• Support desk expansion, regulatory readiness, and market structure changes across North Asian markets—with a strong emphasis on Taiwan and China (A-shares/Connect) market mechanics.

• Drive technical and functional deliverables by managing and partnering with core engineering and QA teams located in Pune.

• Oversee integration and enhancements across Middle Office trade capture, trade confirmation, risk platforms, and downstream settlement infrastructure.

• Document detailed functional specifications (BRDs/FRDs), drive user acceptance testing (UAT), and ensure seamless deployment with zero impact to live trading.

Requirements:

• 8-10+ years of progressive experience as a Business Analyst / Project Manager within an Investment Bank, Global Markets entity, or Buy-Side firm.

• Deep understanding of Equities flows (Cash Equities, Derivatives, or Equity Synthetics/Prime Brokerage).

• Strong background in Market Microstructure (order types, execution mechanisms, exchange connectivity, clearing/settlement cycles).

• Hands-on experience with Middle Office trade booking systems and trade lifecycle platforms.

• Prior exposure to Asian equity markets is required; direct knowledge of Taiwan and/or China markets (regulatory rules, clearing models, tax/booking nuances) is highly advantageous.

• Strong technical foundation. Candidates with a background in software development/engineering who have transitioned into BA/PM roles are strongly preferred. Comfortable with database queries (SQL), system architecture diagrams, and data mapping.

• Exceptional verbal and written stakeholder management skills, with proven success driving remote/distributed tech teams (specifically partnering with teams in India/Pune).
