We seek an experienced Project Manager/Business Analyst to lead the expansion of our commodities trading business in China, covering both onshore and offshore operations. This role requires a proven track record in establishing trading operations, including entity setup and compliance.
The ideal candidate will bridge business and technology functions, ensuring smooth integration of trading and risk management systems tailored to the Chinese market. This strategic, hands-on position is suited for a self-starter who can navigate complex stakeholder landscapes.
Key Responsibilities
Lead initiatives to develop commodities trading capabilities in China, focusing on regulatory, operational, and technology aspects.
Manage project timelines for entity setup, licensing, and infrastructure readiness.
Conduct business analysis across trading workflows (e.g., trade capture, risk management, and settlement).
Oversee the selection and integration of trading and risk management systems.
Collaborate with Chinese regulators, exchanges, banks, and vendors.
Ensure compliance with Chinese regulatory requirements.
Coordinate with global teams to align China operations with global standards.
Identify and manage project risks and deliverables.
Prepare essential documentation, including project plans and stakeholder communications.
Qualifications
10+ years in a Project Manager/Business Analyst role in financial markets.
Experience in scaling securities and/or commodities businesses in China, including licensing and operational setup.
Strong understanding of China’s market infrastructure and regulatory frameworks.
Proven experience in systems integration across trading and risk domains.
Self-motivated and capable of independent work in a changing market.
Excellent communication skills in English and Mandarin.
Proficient in project management tools like Jira and Confluence.
