Business Analyst (Data Projects) - Leading Investment Bank

My client- leading investment bank is seeking a skilled Business Analyst specializing in data projects to join the team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving data-driven decision-making and enhancing business performance through data analysis and interpretation.

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset, exceptional communication skills, and a proven track record in managing complex data projects within the finance industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth analyses of financial data, identify trends, and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.

• Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scopes, and develop project plans for data initiatives.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain data solutions that address business needs.

• Perform data quality assessments, validate data integrity, and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.

• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation related to data projects, including business requirements, data models, and reports.

• Utilize data visualization tools to communicate findings effectively and facilitate data-driven decision-making processes.

• Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide regular updates on project status to stakeholders.

• Conduct post-implementation reviews to assess project outcomes, identify areas for improvement, and drive continuous process enhancements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in a financial institution.

• Strong understanding of financial concepts, market trends, and regulatory requirements. 

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.

• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.

• Strong project management skills with a proven ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, R, and advanced Excel functions will be a plus. 

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a demonstrated ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
