Blockchain and Smart Contract Engineer- Leading Securities Company

Our client, a well-established securities firm, is seeking a skilled and experienced Blockchain and Smart Contract Engineer to join their team. In this role, you'll be at the forefront of their innovative blockchain projects, responsible for designing, developing, and deploying decentralized solutions. You will be instrumental in introducing and implementing cutting-edge Web3 concepts within a forward-thinking organization.

Responsibilities

• Design and Develop: Create, test, and deploy secure and efficient smart contracts on various blockchain platforms, including Ethereum, Solana, and other EVM-compatible chains.

• Build dApps: Construct and maintain decentralized applications and their associated backend services.

• Audit and Optimize: Conduct audits, optimize for gas efficiency, and meticulously document smart contracts to ensure they are secure and easy to maintain.

• Stay Current: Keep up-to-date with the latest blockchain trends, best practices, and new technologies.

• Collaborate: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other developers to define and deliver new features.

• Review and Troubleshoot: Participate in code reviews, security assessments, and troubleshooting of blockchain-related issues.

• Integrate Systems: Integrate smart contracts with web frontends and off-chain systems using APIs and oracles.

• Contribute: Engage with the open-source community and contribute to projects as needed.

Requirements

• Education: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. An advanced degree is a plus.

• Experience: At least 3 years of hands-on experience in blockchain development, with a focus on smart contract programming.

• Languages: Proficiency in Solidity and/or Rust. Familiarity with other blockchain-oriented languages like Vyper or Go is a plus.

• Foundational Knowledge: A deep understanding of blockchain protocols, standards, and consensus mechanisms.

• Tools & Frameworks: Experience with web3 libraries (e.g., ethers.js, web3.js) and frameworks (e.g., Hardhat, Truffle, Brownie, Anchor).

• Security: Strong knowledge of cryptographic principles, security best practices, and common smart contract vulnerabilities.

• Web3 Expertise: Familiarity with concepts like DeFi, NFTs, Layer 2 solutions, and DAO infrastructures.

• Methodology: Experience with version control (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies.

• Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Work Environment: Ability to work effectively and independently within a distributed and multicultural team.
