Pinpoint Asia is partnering with a prestigious, top-tier Financial Services Institution to find a senior Cloud & Platform Architect.

This is not a hands-on implementation role. We are looking for a true thought leader to act as the ultimate guardian of our client's cloud infrastructure, ensuring every solution is built on a foundation of architectural excellence, security, and resilience.

Your Mission

As the Cloud & Platform Architect, you will be the central authority on cloud infrastructure design. You will set the strategy, govern implementations, and provide the thought leadership that drives technological innovation and business success.

• Govern & Guide: You will review, critique, and approve cloud architecture designs from various project teams, ensuring they meet rigorous security, performance, and compliance standards. You will create and maintain the architectural blueprints and design patterns that guide all cloud initiatives.

• Strategize & Innovate: Develop and own the roadmap for the cloud and infrastructure platforms. You will constantly scan the horizon for emerging technologies, advising the business on how to improve efficiency, performance, and cost-effectiveness.

• Protect & Fortify: Play a critical role in technology risk management and business continuity planning. You will be a key subject matter expert during critical incidents and help develop robust disaster recovery plans for business-critical systems.

• Influence & Advise: Translate complex technical concepts into compelling presentations and position papers for senior management. Your ability to communicate clearly and persuasively will be key to your success.

Who We're Looking For

We need a seasoned architect who is as comfortable in a strategy meeting as they are reviewing a technical design.

• Technical Mastery: Deep, practical expertise in Microsoft Azure is essential. You should also have strong knowledge of hybrid cloud integration, LAN/WAN design, and DevOps principles. Experience with other clouds (AWS/GCP/AliCloud) is a plus.

• Proven Experience: You have over 15 years of work experience, with at least 10 years in IT infrastructure and 5+ years in a dedicated architecture and design role, preferably within a large FSI or banking environment.

• Architectural Mindset: You think in terms of frameworks, governance, and long-term strategy. Certifications like TOGAF or Azure Solutions Architect Expert are highly desirable.

• Exceptional Communicator: You possess outstanding written and oral communication skills. A background in consulting is highly regarded.

• Language Skills: Fluency in both English and Cantonese is mandatory for this role. Proficiency in Mandarin is a strong advantage.
