Our client, a leading financial institution, is looking for an Automation QA Engineer to join their Testing Services team. This position offers the opportunity to work on innovative and exciting projects within a large financial group. The ideal candidate will have a good background in automation testing, including mobile applications, and will contribute directly to the quality of software products.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and oversee automation regression tests using the Cucumber framework and Appium.
Plan and execute performance tests with JMeter.
Manage test environments, including setting up test cases, devices, and profiles.
Develop and maintain feature files, step definitions, and element mappings for test automation.
Establish and manage CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to smoothly integrate test automation into the development process.
Review test reports, ensure all tests are successful, and identify improvement areas.
Provide technical guidance and promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Coordinate with business users, QA teams, and developers to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
Use JIRA for managing stories, test cases, and tracking test coverage.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in automation testing, including mobile application testing.
Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, including test planning, test case design, and execution.
Extensive experience with test automation frameworks and tools, such as Cucumber and Appium.
Familiarity with mobile testing frameworks.
Experience in performance testing using JMeter.
Fluent in Cantonese and English
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to address complex issues.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, effective with both technical and business stakeholders.
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
