Our client, a leading financial institution is looking for a team lead in managing their application support for their Fixed Income and Commodities trading. It would be on a follow-the-sun model to cover global trading. You will be working with one of the well-known commodities trading desks globally.
Responsibilities:
Provide technical support for pre-trade and post-trade front office trading systems covering Fixed Income, and Commodities.
Work directly with Traders / FO / Market Risk clients to build trusted relationships and provide timely technical support.
Manage the support team and provide guidance and mentorship.
Work with development teams regarding long-term support issues and improvements; Proactively find ways to improve the long-term stability of the trading platform
Take ownership of production issues and provide incident management.
Provide project management as necessary (capacity, performance, upgrades, reporting, documentation)
Requirements:
At least 8 years of application technical support at a reputable financial firm or investment bank in a Front Office to Back Office environment.
Commercial experience/knowledge in the Fixed Income/ Commodities Trading area would be a great plus.
Proficient in the following technical skills: Unix/Linux, SQL, Shell, FIX, Python, Perl, etc.
Team Leadership experience in providing technical management and mentorship.
Possess energy and enthusiasm to thrive in a high-pressure environment and work with international users.
Independent and mature; Strong problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication in English and interpersonal skills.
Able to work with early morning and late evening shift hours.
