Application Support Analyst - Wealth Management

We are seeking an experienced Application Support Analyst to join our client's Wealth Management IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing production support, conducting business analysis, coordinating projects, and assisting in the testing phases of the Wealth Management systems. Perm position with a leading firm.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first and second-level application support for Wealth Management and Brokerage operations in Hong Kong and Singapore.

  • Conduct detailed business analysis and manage projects to ensure smooth implementation.

  • Gather and analyze user requirements, and propose effective IT solutions.

  • Collaborate with vendors and in-house development teams to implement and integrate IT solutions.

  • Ensure software quality by supporting System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.

  • Monitor and respond to application issues, ensuring timely resolution and escalation when necessary.

  • Proactively identify and implement process improvements to enhance system performance and user experience.

  • Provide on-call support as required for critical issues outside normal business hours.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in IT support within the Brokerage or Wealth Management sectors.

  • Strong hands-on experience with trading and settlement systems for securities, futures, options, bonds, mutual funds, and structured products.

  • Experience with Internet and mobile trading system support.

  • Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with SAS is a plus.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua).

  • Leadership skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in ITIL-compliant incident, problem, and change management.

  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.

  • Knowledge of scripting and automation for process improvement.
