Our client, a leading financial institution, with large-scale technology transformation programme, is looking for an Application Project Manager. As the Application Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the successful delivery of complex technology initiatives that will enable the organization to achieve its strategic objectives. You will be responsible for managing end-to-end project lifecycles, from initiation and planning to execution and closure, ensuring alignment with business objectives, technology standards, and project governance principles.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Management:
Lead the planning, execution and monitoring of technology transformation projects, ensuring adherence to project scope, timelines, and budget.
Define project objectives, success criteria, and deliverables, and manage expectations of stakeholders.
Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including resource allocation, risk mitigation strategies, and issue resolution.
Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and external partners to ensure effective delivery.

2. Technology Transformation:
Drive the implementation of cutting-edge technology solutions and methodologies in alignment with industry best practices.
Collaborate with technology and business stakeholders to identify and prioritize strategic initiatives, ensuring they align with the overall technology transformation roadmap.
Manage the integration of new systems, applications, and platforms, ensuring seamless transition and minimal impact on business operations.

3. Risk and Change Management:
Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies, escalating as appropriate.
Develop and implement change management strategies to ensure the successful adoption of new technologies by end-users.
Monitor and report project progress, providing timely updates on key metrics, milestones, and budget utilization to relevant stakeholders.
Conduct post-project reviews to identify lessons learned and areas for process improvement.

4. Team Leadership:
Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to project team members, fostering a collaborative and empowering work environment.
Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, specifically in technology transformation initiatives within the financial industry.
Demonstrated success in leading high-impact projects, preferably with experience in large-scale application development and integration.
Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and the ability to tailor them to the organization's needs.
Proven track record in managing complex dependencies and risks, driving change management, and delivering projects within scope, budget, and timeline.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and influencing skills, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or Agile certification is a plus. Â
