As an Application Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in bridging the gap between the business teams and technology teams. You will collaborate with stakeholders to identify, analyze, and translate business requirements into technical specifications. Through your expertise in financial systems and applications, you will ensure that the technology solutions align with business objectives, enhance operational efficiency, and support strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities:
Work closely with business stakeholders to understand and document detailed requirements, functional specifications, and use cases for application development projects.
Conduct thorough analysis and evaluation of business processes, systems, and user needs to identify pain points, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
Collaborate with technology teams and project managers to translate business requirements into technical specifications, ensuring clear and concise documentation.
Participate in the planning, design, and testing of new applications or enhancements to existing applications, ensuring compliance with company standards and industry best practices.
Perform gap analysis to identify functional and technical requirements and assist in the development of project plans and strategies.
Serve as a subject matter expert in financial systems and applications, providing guidance and support to internal teams and external stakeholders.
Conduct user acceptance testing to validate system changes and enhancements, ensuring quality assurance and adherence to business requirements.
Monitor and analyze system performance, identifying and resolving issues in a timely manner to minimize downtimes and maximize productivity.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in financial applications, sharing knowledge and insights with the team.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business administration, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Business Analyst in the financial industry, with a strong focus on application development, preferably in a banking or financial services setting.
Solid understanding of financial systems, software development life cycle (SDLC), and project management methodologies.
Proficiency in gathering and documenting business requirements, use cases, and test plans.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical teams.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks within the financial industry is a plus.
Professional certifications such as CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) or PMI-PBA (Professional in Business Analysis) are desirable.
