The Opportunity: "The Captain of the Squad"

Pinpoint Asia is partnering with a premier financial services organization to build their AI Value Stream. We are moving beyond simple chatbots to industrialized Agentic AI—systems that don't just talk, but take action.

We are looking for a Technical Lead who is a builder first. You will report to the Platform Director and act as the "Technical Captain" for a squad of AI Engineers, turning high-level architecture into production-grade Python code.

The Mandate

You are the bridge between the "Blueprint" and the "Code." You will lead the delivery of critical AI capabilities.

• Hands-On Execution (60%): You are the lead committer. You will write the core orchestration logic, design Vector Retrieval strategies, and optimize LLM prompt engineering. You are not just managing Jira tickets; you are solving the hardest technical problems.

• Orchestration Authority: You will enforce LangChain as our standard today while prototyping LangGraph for our future Agentic workflows.

• Squad Leadership: You will break down architectural designs into specific coding tasks for your team of AI Engineers. You are responsible for their code quality, PR reviews, and technical growth.

• System Integration: You will ensure our AI models connect securely with legacy insurance systems, API gateways, and document repositories.

The Ideal Candidate (The "Mini-CTO")

• You Code to Lead: You believe the best way to lead engineers is by showing them good code. You have a "Solution Architect" mindset but a "Software Engineer" daily routine.

• Analytical & Articulate: You can explain complex "Hallucination Risks" to business stakeholders, but you are equally comfortable debating vector indexing strategies with your developers.

• Distributed Manager: You have experience assigning tasks and managing the output of distributed/offshore teams, ensuring the "sun never sets" on development.

Requirements

• GenAI Native: 3-4 years of specific experience working with Large Language Models (GPT-3/4, Llama), Vector Databases (Pinecone/Chroma), and Semantic Search.

• Engineering Foundation: 8-10 years total in Software Engineering, with a strong background in Python Backend Development and API design (FastAPI/Flask).

• Orchestration Expert: Deep, hands-on fluency in LangChain is non-negotiable. Experience with LangGraph or Agentic Workflows is a massive advantage.

• Cloud Stack: Solid experience with Azure OpenAI and cloud-native architectures.

• Language: Fluency in English is mandatory; Cantonese is a plus.
