AI Engineering Lead - Prominent Financial Firm

As an AI Engineering Lead, you will spearhead the design, development, and deployment of AI solutions that address diverse business challenges across the organization. You will guide a dynamic team of AI engineers, collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders, and ensure that the AI applications progress seamlessly from prototype to production. Your technical expertise combined with your leadership skills will be pivotal in driving our digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to conceptualize and create cutting-edge AI solutions (e.g., RAG, workflow systems, AI agents) that address priority business challenges.

• Drive AI projects across the software development life cycle (SDLC), managing rigorous testing, evaluation, and monitoring to ensure robust production-grade solutions.

• Develop scalable services and integrate internal and external APIs/MCPs, enabling seamless connectivity and data flow that power our AI applications.

• Partner with Data Scientists, Platform Engineers, and Product Owners to create an agile, continuous delivery environment.

• Stay abreast of industry trends, continuously evaluate new AI tools (e.g., Langchain, LlamaIndex) and methodologies, and proactively introduce relevant innovations across the organization.

• Lead and mentor a team of AI engineers, managing project timelines and scopes effectively while fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• A minimum of 6 years in data science, software engineering, or AI engineering.

• Proven experience in delivering AI applications, such as RAG systems or similar solutions, from prototype to production.

• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.

• Familiarity with modern web development frameworks (e.g., NextJs, React, Typescript) is an advantage.

• Hands-on experience with AI orchestration tools, vector databases (e.g., Milvus, ElasticSearch), containerization (Docker), and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes).

• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git, etc.) and infrastructure management (Terraform, Ansible) is highly desirable.

• Experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, AliCloud) and any relevant certifications is a plus.

• Familiarity with MLOps/LLMOps in enterprise-scale environments is preferred.

• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.

• A proven track record of project leadership, team building, and mentoring.

• Ability to translate complex technical problems into actionable, business-oriented solutions.

• A data-driven, creative, and self-motivated mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.

• Experience working in international teams and exposure to the financial services domain is advantageous.
