The Opportunity

Pinpoint Asia is partnering with a premier financial services organization to build their AI Value Stream. We are hiring a squad of high-caliber engineers to build the "AI Factory" that will power the next generation of Claims, Underwriting, and Customer Service.

We are looking for AI and Machine Learning Engineers who are builders first. You will work under a highly technical Director and Tech Lead, writing the production-grade Python code that brings Generative AI to life.

The Mandate (The "Builder" Role)

You are the engine of the team. You will take architectural blueprints and turn them into working, scalable AI applications.

• Core Development: Write high-quality, maintainable Python code for GenAI applications. You will build the backend logic, API wrappers (FastAPI/Flask), and data processing pipelines.

• RAG Implementation: Build and optimize Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems. You will handle document chunking, embedding generation, and vector database integration (Pinecone/Chroma) to let our AI "chat" with complex insurance policies.

• Model Integration: Work directly with Azure OpenAI models (GPT-4o, etc.). You will optimize prompts, manage token usage, and fine-tune parameters for specific business use cases.

• Orchestration: Use LangChain to stitch together models, data, and logic. You will help implement early-stage Agentic workflows where the AI performs multi-step reasoning.

• No "Throwaway" Code: This is not a research lab. You are building systems that must pass security reviews, handle PII data safely, and scale to thousands of users.

The Ideal Candidate (The "Mini-Abin")

• Engineering First: You aren't just a data scientist who runs Jupyter notebooks. You are a software engineer who understands how to deploy models into production environments.

• Architectural Mindset: Even as a developer, you understand why we use a specific vector strategy or how the API gateway handles latency. You can articulate your technical decisions clearly.

• Fast Learner: You have been following the GenAI explosion closely. You know the difference between LangChain and LangGraph, and you are eager to apply the latest patterns (like Agentic AI) in a real enterprise.

Requirements

• Experience: 3-5 years of total software engineering experience, with at least 2+ years specifically in GenAI / NLP / Machine Learning.

• Tech Stack: Strong proficiency in Python is mandatory. Experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar orchestration frameworks is highly preferred.

• Cloud Native: Hands-on experience with Azure (Azure OpenAI, Azure ML) or AWS Bedrock.

• Database Skills: Familiarity with Vector Databases (Pinecone, Milvus, Weaviate) and SQL.

• Communication: Strong command of English and Chinese (Cantonese/Mandarin) to coordinate with regional teams.
