Python Developer - Leading Investment Bank

My client, a reputable investment bank, is actively seeking a hands-on Python Developer to join their expanding team. The successful candidate will work with some of the brightest talents in the industry to build cutting-edge solutions for their trading business.

Responsibilities:

• Work with a team of talented developers to build cutting-edge solutions within an asset management company.

• Involve in design, analysis, development, and testing to build high-quality software and products.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders (Front Office/Middle Office/Compliance users), and keep them updated on the progress of projects

• Deliver a working code that meets acceptance criteria as well as meets the definition of done.

• Participate in testing, deployment, and production activities of the team to ensure production stability.

• Engage in process re-engineering, software enhancement, cybersecurity, and next-generation (Big Data/AI/ML, etc.) initiatives

• Work in close collaboration with a dynamic team of top technologists, quant researchers, traders, and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

1. University Degree in Computer Science or equivalence

2. 3+ years of hands-on experience developing commercial applications

3. Hands-on experience in Python application development

4. Demonstrated hands-on experience developing and implementing high-quality software solutions utilizing Java or C#.

5. Proven experience in web-based front-end (Django / Angular) application development.

6. Good understanding of object-oriented, multi-threading programming concepts

7. Able to work independently under tight schedules and pressure

8. Good command of both spoken and written English

9. Good team player

10. Experience in design patterns, algorithms, and sound knowledge of various data structures

11. Knowledge of web technologies (Example: Semantic UI, D3.js, Node.js, etc.) is a huge plus.

12. Understanding of investment banking businesses, as well as the underneath and components in both flow and exotic financial instruments

13. Working experience on a trading floor
