Our client is a major life insurance group, where they are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Life Policy Admin Application Manager. The individual will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of life insurance policy administration applications. The successful candidate will ensure the seamless operation of these critical systems to support the business operations and serve the customers effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead the technical design and development of life insurance policy administration applications.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Manage the full lifecycle of application development, from planning and design to implementation and ongoing support.
Ensure the performance, reliability, and scalability of policy administration applications to meet business needs and regulatory requirements.
Conduct regular system assessments and provide recommendations for improvements and enhancements.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT operations, business analysts, and quality assurance, to ensure successful project delivery.
Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices in life insurance policy administration systems and technologies.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Minimum of 6 years of experience in software development with a focus on life insurance policy administration systems.
Strong proficiency in Java programming and Oracle database management.
Experience with full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, and deployment.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Development experience in Java, IBM Websphere, JSF2, and Unix.
Hands-on experience with Oracle SQL, and database administration.
Experience with Azure cloud service (e.g. AzureDevOps, PostgreSQL, container, etc.) is an advantage
Experience in Agile development methodologies is preferred.
